Trimble - Ag-132 Sub-metre differential GPS accuracy for Asset Data Capture
The AgGPS® 132 is a high-performance GPS receiver that uses either free public or subscription-based differential correction services to calculate sub-metre positions in real-time. Farmers use the AgGPS 132 to tag soil type, insect infestation, or crop yield information with precise, sub-metre location data. Mapping this data highlights problem areas and helps farmers target their use of agricultural products-saving money and increasing productivity.
Asset Managers and GIS data collectors also use the AgGPS 132 as it outputs the industry standard NMEA string allowing for accurate real-time sub-metre accuracy to a pen computer or data logger, on locations of assets or other features such as accident scenes, chemical spills or road centre lines just to name a few. few.
The AgGPS 132 includes Trimble's The Choice™ technology.. This technology combines a GPS receiver, a beacon differential receiver and a satellite differential receiver in the same housing. These receivers use a combined antenna with a single antenna cable. This configuration greatly improves the accuracy, reliability and availability of differential GPS corrections. The medium frequency (MF) beacon receiver uses the broad-casts from government established navigation beacon reference stations around the world.
